We were honored to have Allyssa Binkley, Secondary Supervisor of Instruction for Graves County Schools (and Tilghman alum!) join us at Paducah Middle for The Amazing Shake on February 19. Here is what she said about The Amazing Shake:
"What a fabulous way to spend my day at Paducah Middle School with such tremendously talented students. The Amazing Shake is a great opportunity for community members to help teach students about professional skills for success. It also allowed students to experience possible future career paths. Participants were able to demonstrate skills such as a proper handshake, eye contact, being able to work a room, and communication skills. Through the different scenarios, students were able to develop professional qualities they can use today and in the future. I am excited to take what I learned and see how I can create a similar experience for Graves County students."

February 15 is Student Resource Officer (SRO) Appreciation Day.
The SRO assignment is unique within the law enforcement profession. These officers fill a three-part role, serving as informal mentors or counselors, law educators and law enforcement officers to support the students and communities they serve.
We are thankful for the work our SROs do each day to connect with our students and keep our schools safe!
