The Prince Hall Masonic Family of Kentucky donated to Paducah Public Schools STAY (School + Transition Assistance for Homeless Youth) at a ceremony held at Paducah Head Start on December 18.   Each of the two groups - the Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Kentucky and the Far Western District of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Kentucky- presented a check to STAY Director Heather Anderson to assist the program in its mission of reaching students and families who don’t have stable housing.

“We really appreciate the generous support of the Prince Hall Masonic Family of Kentucky,” said Anderson. “This donation will help the STAY program by providing essential needs for students experiencing homelessness.”

The Prince Hall Family was invited to visit the Paducah Innovation Hub in 2022 and 2023 by Past Grand Worthy Matron Donna G. Newsome Hawkins and her husband, Past Honorary Grand Master Henderson Hawkins, Jr.

“The Prince Hall Family toured the Head Start building prior to Thanksgiving,” said Donna Hawkins. “We were so impressed by the STAY Program that we wanted to donate to the program. Heather Anderson is doing such a wonderful job and we wanted to encourage her with a donation.”
