Paducah Tilghman Boys Golf placed third overall in the KHSAA Region 1 Tournament held Wednesday at Calvert City Country Club. Peyton Toon, Evan Hack, and Whitson McNeill all shot 79 or better to move on to the Sub-State tournament next Monday in Hopkinsville. The third place finish was an improved standing for the team from last year's finish and delivered more State qualifiers than Tilghman golf has had in quite some time. Congratulations!

Student families, we're happy to report our messaging system, TalkingPoints, is back online! If you have previously downloaded the TalkingPoints for Families app, please sign back in by clicking "next" and entering your phone number when prompted. You will still see class announcements, but your direct message folder is empty. You can locate conversations you were having with staff by opening a new message, searching for that person's name and selecting them. Once you follow those steps, you will see your old conversation appear, again. Text users should be able to reach staff by entering numbers you may have saved or replying to an old message. We appreciate all of our student families for being a part of the solution and for your patience. Special thanks to the Paducah Public Schools Information Technology team, as well! Go Big Blue!

27 members of the PTHS Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) attended the St. Louis Cardinals Career Day on September 12. While there, students were able to listen to a panel of executives from the team explain different job opportunities with the team and the varied paths each took to get there. The executives shared the importance of persistence, creativity, and skills in the workforce and in earning positions in places you want to work, such as a professional sports team. Students then attended a mid-west college fair and the Cardinals baseball game vs. the Cincinnati Reds.
