PTHS faculty, staff, family and friends were present at Paducah Tilghman on December 6 as 31 students were inducted into the National Honor Society.
Inductees included Ansley Barks, Dwayne Benjamin, Ryan Bidwell, Levi Brown, Emily Campbell, Makeyah Carruthers, William Coltharp, Madalynn Dochniak, Madelyn Duwe, Kennedy Franklin, Russell Hancock, Julia Helms, Jasmine Jones, Hannah Long, Tessa Martin, Whitson McNeill, Cassidy Minter, Blaine Oliver, Horace Godfrey Page, Brandon Peck, Madeline Peck, Toree Purchase, Brooklynne Riley, Terrance Robinson, Alexander Southern, Peyton Toon, Kenya Wade, Ivy Wenzel, Audreya White, Addison Winklepleck, and Erica Wurth.
The National Honor Society (NHS) is one of the oldest, largest, and most widely recognized co-curricular student organizations in American high schools. More than 1.4 million students are members of the NHS.
Membership in local NHS chapters is an honor bestowed upon a student by a faculty council and is based on the four pillars of NHS: scholarship, character, leadership, and service.




The Paducah Board of Education will be dedicating the Band Room at Paducah Tilghman High School in honor of our longtime music educator, Doug Van Fleet at the PTHS Band & Orchestra concert at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2023.
Help celebrate Mr. Van Fleet's decades of service to our schools and enjoy the performances to kick off to your holiday season.

PTHS Picture make-ups and retakes are scheduled for Wednesday, December 6th for all staff and students, including seniors.
The PTHS Student Equity Advisory Council invites all parents of PPS students to join us for a student-led Parent Forum Tuesday, December 5, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The forum will be at the Murray State University Paducah Extension at 4430 Sunset Avenue.

The Kentucky High School Athletics Association (KHSAA) honored the golden anniversary of Paducah Tilghman’s 1973 2A state championship football team. Paducah Tilghman (now a Class 4A competitor) was recognized during halftime of the 4A state final game on December 1 at Kroger Field on UK Campus in Lexington.

The KHSAA will honor the golden anniversary of Tilghman’s 1973 2A state championship team. Paducah Tilghman (now a Class 4A competitor) will be recognized during halftime of the 4A state final game on December 1 with an 8 pm kickoff at Kroger Field on UK Campus in Lexington.
KHSAA invites team members (athletes, coaches, statisticians) to attend this year's championship. They will provide each with two digital complimentary tickets (one for the honoree member and one for their guest).
During the ceremony, team members will receive a commemorative medallion to recognize this accomplishment. RSVP required by Nov. 16 to jay.burgett@paducah.kyschools.us or 270-444-5650.
Tilghman students are invited to join us for a PTHS Tailgate Party featuring DJ Joe Reeves. The tailgate party will begin at 5:00 PM Friday, November 17. Tilghman students only. Enter at the Jackson Street gate. Cost of admission is two canned food items for the PTHS Food Drive. Join us as we cheer the Blue Tornado on in Round 3!
