27 members of the PTHS Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) attended the St. Louis Cardinals Career Day on September 12. While there, students were able to listen to a panel of executives from the team explain different job opportunities with the team and the varied paths each took to get there. The executives shared the importance of persistence, creativity, and skills in the workforce and in earning positions in places you want to work, such as a professional sports team. Students then attended a mid-west college fair and the Cardinals baseball game vs. the Cincinnati Reds.

Parents and Guardians,
As we begin our fall sports seasons, please be reminded that all students from kindergarten through 8th grade, regardless of school district, must be accompanied by an adult at all PPS school and athletic events. Students from kindergarten through 8th grade will not be admitted to games without an adult in attendance.
Thank you for working with us to keep the safety of our students and fans a top priority. We look forward to seeing you this fall. Go Big Blue!

PT sophomore McCall Moore shot a 4-over-par 76 to finish as runner-up at the Kentucky 2A State golf championships held at Owensboro Country Club on Monday.
“I was due for a good round and I just put it all together,” Moore said. “It’s definitely a confidence booster for me, finishing strong at 2A State and heading into the regional tournament. It was definitely an honor to represent Paducah Tilghman. It’s an honor to be part of our athletic excellence and I like being the only girl and having coach Charli Doss with me throughout my round.”
Moore, along with the PTHS boys team, will compete at the Region 1 golf tournament on Drake Creek Golf Club on September 24.
