Audrey Shirk AIM Award

Rising senior Audrey Shirk graduated from the USCGA (United States Coast Guard Academy) AIM (Academy Introduction Mission) program on July 8. The week-long program is held at the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut.

Audrey is the first PTHS student to ever attend the highly selective and competitive program. She was one of only two individual trainees who was recognized for exceptional performance by being awarded the “John and Carol Johnson AIM Honor Graduate Award”.  This award is given to the participants who “embodied the meaning of Semper Paratus… by demonstrating exemplary Coast Guard knowledge through an indoctrination exam, superior physical performance during the Physical Fitness Exam, and outstanding military bearing.”

" PTHS NJROTC is proud to have Audrey represent our school and our unit at the USCGA AIM program," said PTHS NJROTC SNSI LCDR Daniel Outcalt. "We look forward to seeing what Audrey will accomplish in her senior year and beyond."

The USCGA Academy Introduction Mission is a one-week summer program that immerses rising seniors who plan to apply to the USCG  in Academy life.  The USCGA AIM program is regarded as the most realistic of the service academy summer orientation programs.
