Shemari Thomas Signing

Paducah Tilghman senior Shemari Thomas committed to play football at Greenville University in a signing ceremony held at Paducah Tilghman High School on March 27.

Thomas played wide receiver for a Tornado team that made its mark in the record books, capping an undefeated season with a Class 4A State Championship.

“Shemari’s nickname could be ‘Mr. Consistency’ because you knew what you were going to get and he was going to give it to you every time,” said PTHS Head Coach Sean Thompson. “But I know there’s more in there and I know that having this opportunity to go continue and play that it’s going to come out. Shemari’s special. The plays that he’s able to make are different than the plays that most kids can make. I know Shemari’s going to be great and he’s going to make us proud.”

“I appreciate every single one of y’all,” said Thomas. “My five years here have been a blur, honestly, but I thank all of you.”
