Paducah Tilghman senior Blain Oliver signed a soccer scholarship with University of the Ozarks in a signing ceremony at Paducah Tilghman on February 6.
Oliver was goalkeeper for the Blue Tornado all four years of his high school career. He was named to the All-District team his senior season.
“Blain is one I’ve really enjoyed coaching and seeing develop over the last five years,” said former PTHS Soccer head coach Blaine Skeen. “He’s a great example to anyone else out there with similar dreams and aspirations that with hard work, commitment, and dedication that he’s got, and he’s shown to the program and committed to that it’s certainly possible to go on and play at the next level.”
In his remarks, Oliver thanked his parents, coaches, and teammates and said that he is looking forward to continuing his athletic career at University of the Ozarks.
“The team there feels like a family,” said Oliver. “The school has good educational opportunities and it’s a cool area.”
University of the Ozarks is located in Clarksville, Arkansas. The university is a member of NCAA Division 3 and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
