David Dobbins has been selected by the PTHS Site Based Council to be the new Assistant Principal - Dean of Students for Paducah Tilghman High School.
Dobbins has worked for McCracken County Public Schools since 2013. He began his career as a Software Technician and School Energy Manager. He began teaching Business classes at McCracken County High School in 2018. At MCHS Dobbins was a member of the McCracken County Public Schools Equity Council and the MCHS Site Based Decision Making Committee. He served as advisor to the MCHS African American Leadership Club and the MCHS Future Business Leaders of America.
For the past two school years Dobbins served as Assistant Principal at Reidland Middle School, where he was Athletic Director and Professional Development Coordinator.
Dobbins is a Paducah Tilghman High School alumnus (PTHS Class of ’99). He earned a B.S. in Business and a Master of Arts in Education Administration at Murray State University.
“Mr. Dobbins brings a wealth of experience and a passion for student success to Paducah Tilghman High School,” said PTHS Principal Deatrik Kinney. “With a background in education and student discipline, he is well-equipped to support our students and enhance their educational experience. We look forward to his leadership and the positive impact he will undoubtedly have on our school community.”
