Happy Principal Appreciation Day! Our principals give themselves heart and soul in pursuit of our mission to know each and every student by name and need. Thank you for your leadership!
In each of our schools, our office staff keep our schools running as they answer phones, take attendance, keep books, and a million other tasks each day. Thank you all for your dedication, your expertise, and for being the ones who can answer all our questions!

It was especially awesome to see many of our McNabb Reading Pals in attendance with their students. Thank you, Carson Center! Thank you, Reading Pals!
PPS student families, due to changing weather and road conditions, the decision has been made to switch from in-person to a NTI (Non-Traditional Instruction) Day for today, Friday, January 19. Thank you for working with us as we adjust to the changing weather conditions.
Good evening, Paducah Public School families. We plan to see your student in school tomorrow (Friday, January 19)! There is a slight chance of precipitation overnight that could impact morning travel. We will notify you if there is a change to the regular school day schedule.
Hey, Tornado Family!
Here is a reminder about the plan of action that we follow when we have winter weather.
Paducah Public School families,
Putting staff and student safety first, the district will be using non-traditional instruction (NTI) tomorrow, January 18th. Some side road conditions along bus routes are still unsafe. In addition, the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory forecasting freezing rain for tomorrow at 10 am that could make midday and afternoon travel hazardous for buses, students and staff.
Your student’s school has shared expectations for NTI days. School leaders will send reminders, as well.
The last two snow days and tomorrow’s NTI day do not impact the board-approved school calendar this year. The last day for students is still Wednesday, May 22nd, as scheduled.
PPS Parents: Tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17th, all Paducah City Schools will be closed due to inclement weather and hazardous road conditions. This will be a regular Snow Day, not an NTI (Non-Traditional Instruction) Day.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, January 16th, all Paducah City Schools will be closed due to inclement weather and hazardous road conditions. This will be a regular Snow Day, not an NTI (Non-Traditional Instruction) Day.
