KHEAA Kentucky Scholarship Handbook
This document provided by KHEAA lists a great amount of scholarships available to Kentucky students. There are statewide scholarships, schlolarships by county, and scholarships available at colleges and technical schools across Kentucky.
College Board Opportunity Scholarships
Starting with the class of 2020, students may earn scholarship money for completing certain college search and application tasks. Part of the steps include improving your SAT score whether that is from the PSAT to SAT or SAT to SAT test. Scholarships will be awarded through monthly drawings for students who have completed the tasks during the application cycle. The scholarship window opens in December of the student's junior year and must be completed by the end of February of the student's senior year. The deadline to complete the tasks for the Class of 2020 is February 29, 2020.

Going Merry is a great FREE tool for students to search and apply for scholarshps. Once you complete your profile, you will be matched with scholarships. You can apply to multiple scholarships through the Going Merry website. Going Merry auto-fills your profile information into applications when you decide to apply for that scholarship. No need to type your address and other info over and over. Great way to streamline your scholarship application process.
SPECIALTY SCHOLARSHIPS
Students who earn a qualifying score on the PSAT test during their junior year in high school are eligible. Students who qualify as a semi-finalist must complete an application process to be considered for National Merit Finalist scholarships.Three types of scholarships are available: National Merit $2500 Scholarship, Corporate Sponsored Scholarships, or College Sponsored Scholarships. The PSAT is given in October each year, and students must pay a small fee to take the exam.

Students who particpated in a KY Governor's school after their junior year in high school may be eligible for scholarships at certain KY colleges.
Schoolhouse Connection Youth Leadership Scholarship Program
Provides scholarships to youth who have experienced homelessness. $2,000 scholarship award. A minimum of 10 scholarships are awarded.
National Association for the Education Homeless Children and Youth Scholarship
Scholarships for students who have experienced homelessness.
Foster Care to Success Scholarships
Scholarship for students who have been in public or private foster care for the 12 consecutive months prior to their 18th birthday; OR have been adopted or placed into legal guardianship from foster care after their 16th birthday; OR they must have been orphaned for at least one year at the time of their 18th birthday. Must have been accepted into or expect to be accepted into an accredited college or post-secondary school.
Imagine America Career College Scholarship
Participating KY Career College: Medical Career and Technical College (Richmond). Participating TN Career Colleges are Lincoln College of Technology-Nashville (formerly NADC) and Nashville Film Institute. Other participating career colleges that may be of interest are Universal Technical Institute (various locations), NASCAR Institute (NC), Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (various locations).
