The Paducah Innovation Hub was the local site for the 2022 US Chess Membership Tournament on September 24. Several teams were represented from the region, including a pair of players from Iuka, MS.
PTHS placed 3rd overall. Players that entered this tournament will have their national memberships for the year which will allow them to play in all seasonal events as well as any rated events within the United States. Ms. Tucker represented Paducah Middle School extremely well with her sportsmanship and chess ability.
Every Paducah player earned at least 1/2 a point!

The Paducah Middle Small Metals class is learning how to pierce and then saw a piece of metal. They will cut out the stencil and rivet it to a piece of brass to make a pendant.

The Paducah Middle Makerspace class has cut pieces and traced designs on their woodworking project. Today they are burning in the designs!
The softball team picked up 2 wins last night against Graves Co. 15-9 and 6-2. Also we recognized our 8th grade players. We want to thank the players and families for their contributions to the softball program!
7th and 8th grade football both picked up wins against Trigg County tonight with both teams now going 5-0 on the season. We also recognized our 8th grade players and families and want to thank them for their contributions to the program.
It’s a full night for Paducah Middle sports with baseball, softball, and football hosting home games. We’re almost ready to kick off Paducah Middle football vs. Graves County!

The Paducah Fire Department invites everyone to help local students through the Fill the Fire Truck with School Supplies campaign. Donations of school supplies and individually wrapped food items will be accepted through August 12 at any Paducah fire station and at City Hall.
On Friday, August 5, the department will collect donations at the Southside Walmart (3220 Irvin Cobb Drive) from 9 until noon and at the West End Walmart (5130 Hinkleville Road) from 1 until 4 p.m.

Paducah Tilghman High School will offer a Digital Literacy and Health Test CLEP summer enrichment camp July 25 - 28. This is a one-week enrichment camp for incoming and current PTHS students to potentially earn Digital Literacy and/or Health credit to meet PTHS/KDE graduation requirements and provide additional slots in their schedule for advanced elective opportunities.
