Good news for families: Kentucky's Summer P-EBT plan is approved, and benefits will be issued on or around Nov. 15. Total reimbursement is $120 per eligible student. Enrollment in Summer P-EBT is automatic for public and private school students. Federal law prohibits homeschool students, virtual students and children not enrolled in school from receiving Summer P-EBT. For more information about Summer P-EBT, call 1-833-501-5297.
Reminder: There's no school for students on Tuesday, November 7. It is Election Day. We encourage you to vote!

Tradehome Shoes representatives Travis Hansen and Michael Silva stopped by Clark Wednesday to donate 48 pairs of shoes to Clark students. The donation is a part of the Trade-at-Home-Give-at-Home campaign, which seeks to impact local communities by supplying local schools with shoes for students in need.
“We appreciate this generous donation from Tradehome Shoes,” said Assistant Principal Drake Dunnaway. “With 48 new pair of Under Armour sneakers to give away, our students will be walking down the halls looking fresh!”
Clark Elementary is one of 781 schools across the country recognized by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation as America's Healthiest Schools for their dedication to supporting the health and well-being of students, staff, and families. Congratulations!
The Kentucky Directors of Pupil Personnel have designated Wednesday September 13 as statewide “High Attendance Day” to emphasize that consistent attendance is essential for success in school. Paducah Public Schools are working hard on improving our district wide attendance, because we know that students who are at school on time have a higher success rate than those who aren't.
On High Attendance Day, Kentucky’s public elementary, middle and high schools may compete in small-school or large-school categories. Six winners will be determined statewide based on each individual school’s performance, regardless of its district’s showing. The school in each category with the highest percentage attendance for September 13 will receive a minimum $500. If the school has more than 500 students, the award will increase based on enrollment.
Tornado Family,
We appreciate your attendance at Paducah Tilghman High School athletic events and your support of our student athletes. Our fall sports teams have had a great start highlighted by the Tornado Football victory over Mayfield to move to 3-0 on the season and a #4 ranking in the state.
Moving forward we plan to implement a new policy with an emphasis on supervision and admission to games. This new policy will apply to all athletic events:
All students from kindergarten through 8th grade, regardless of school district, must be accompanied by an adult at all school/athletic events. Students from kindergarten through 8th grade will not be admitted without an adult in attendance.
We are also introducing a new app called Eventlink, where you will be able to find games, practices, and events for all members of our Paducah Tilghman family. You can download the app, create an account, and pick which school and athletic calendars you want to follow. We encourage you to get involved in this new and exciting way to be a part of PTHS Athletics. Click here for more information on how to create an account from your phone or your desktop computer.
Go Big Blue!
Jay Burgett, Athletic Director
Paducah Tilghman High School
Mrs. Frazier's first through fifth grade Art students are touring the National Quilt Museum this week as an introduction to a lesson on quilting.
During the tours students are looking at the quilts, seeing how they are made, and gathering inspiration.
During the lesson each student will make a quilt block. The blocks will be sewn together to make grade-wide quilt.
"Seeing how the quilts are displayed and how they are made brings the whole art-making process together," said Mrs. Frazier.
Mrs. Frazier said they hope to display the quilts during Quilt Week next April so the students can be part of the Quilt Week Celebration.
