
All Paducah Public Schools offices will be closed Tuesday, August 2, so that all our employees can participate in professional development at the Paducah Public Schools Equity Institute. We will return to the office on Wednesday, August 3.

The Paducah Fire Department invites everyone to help local students through the Fill the Fire Truck with School Supplies campaign. Donations of school supplies and individually wrapped food items will be accepted through August 12 at any Paducah fire station and at City Hall.
On Friday, August 5, the department will collect donations at the Southside Walmart (3220 Irvin Cobb Drive) from 9 until noon and at the West End Walmart (5130 Hinkleville Road) from 1 until 4 p.m.

Paducah Tilghman High School will offer a Digital Literacy and Health Test CLEP summer enrichment camp July 25 - 28. This is a one-week enrichment camp for incoming and current PTHS students to potentially earn Digital Literacy and/or Health credit to meet PTHS/KDE graduation requirements and provide additional slots in their schedule for advanced elective opportunities. Paducah Middle softball tryouts will be Monday, 7/11 at Sheppard's Field across from Brooks Stadium at 7:30PM for incoming 5th-8th graders. Please bring a glove, cleats, and water. Thank you!


Tornado Takeout meals program will be closed on Monday, July 4. We will deliver meals to mobile sites on Tuesday, July 5.
Families may pick meals up to cover the weekend at Paducah Middle School or mobile sites Thursday, June 30.

Join your friends, family, and community members for Paducah's 1st Ever community celebration of JUNETEENTH Monday, June 20 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Carson Center theatre and lawn.
The Paducah-McCracken County NAACP, The Carson Center and sponsors -the City of Paducah, McCracken County, CSI, Baptist Health, Mercy Health, and The Bryant Law Center - are teaming up to launch this inclusive and joyous celebration of Freedom Day - a National Celebration of the anniversary of June 19, 1865, the day enslaved people in Texas learned they were free.
Join fellow community members for an inspiring program in the theatre featuring PPS Chief Equity Officer Shonda Hollowell Burrus and keynote speaker Dr. Brandon McCormack. The one-hour program will be followed by a celebratory dinner on the Lawn at The Carson Center. Your $15 ticket includes a reserved seat in the theatre for the program and a boxed BBQ dinner with a non-alcoholic beverage of your choice. Seating in Adirondack chairs on the lawn and live entertainment provided during dinner.

Parents of 5th graders, here is information about choir and band sign up for Paducah Middle School:
Time: Monday, May 23 and Tuesday, May 24 3:15-4:15 p.m.
Come only ONE DAY, any time between 3:15pm & 5:45 p.m. It takes 10-15 minutes, depending on how many people here when you arrive.
Location: Paducah Middle Band Room. Park in the back parking lot and follow signs to the back band room entrance.
Purpose: Our band and choir instructors will be available to help your students select and instrument for band or get them signed up for choir and answer your questions.

Paducah Middle's 8th Grade promotion ceremony will be held Thursday, May 26, 2022, 9:30 a.m. at Heartland Church, 4777 Alben Barkley Drive. Each 8th grade student will receive four tickets. Tickets will be required to attend.


Linda Mays won a free IPad for completing online registration for her grandaughters at McNabb Elementary. Congratulations!
Linda's name was selected at random from all of our returning 22-23 student online registration applications.

Altruismo hosted a "Black Out on Your Block Party" Friday, April 22 at Paducah Middle School.
Any student in the school who didn't have missing assignments that week could purchase a ticket to attend.
Each of Paducah Middle's four houses has a color, and Altruismo's color is black.The "Black Out On Your Block Party" comes from part of Altruismo's house chant that ends with "Black out on your block, black out on your block, black out!"
Altruismo hopes to make this a yearly fundraising event!


It was a wonderful night to celebrate the work of our faculty and staff at the 5th Annual Regional Educators Awards and Scholarship Program at West Kentucky Community and Technical College last night! With 16 nominees, four finalists, and three winners, Paducah Public Schools were well represented on the stage! Paducah Middle School's House of Altruismo hosted Easter egg hunts for Head Start today!
Candy-filled eggs that were donated from Paducah Middle School families were used for classroom Easter egg hunts, and the Easter Bunny visited classrooms and greeted students.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to make this a great celebration for our Head Start friends!

Due to the threat of severe weather, Paducah Public Schools will dismiss early today (Wednesday, April 13).
Paducah Tilghman High School and Paducah Middle School will dismiss at 1:45 p.m. Clark, McNabb, and Morgan Elementaries will dismiss at 2:30 p.m.
The highest probability for severe weather is from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. The early dismissal will ensure that all our students and employees will be home before the severe weather begins.
All Paducah Public Schools after school activities, including ESS and athletics, are canceled due to the threat of severe weather.
