Representative James Comer, R-Ky., visited the construction site of Paducah Head Start while he was in the city to speak at Paducah Chamber of Commerce's Public Policy Luncheon on August 10.
Paducah Head Start Preschool Director Kristy Lewis, along with Superintendent Dr. Donald Shively, Board Chair Dr. Carl LeBuhn, and Project Foreman Chris Polston walked through the new Paducah Head Start facility with Congressman Comer and shared with him the comprehensive, exceptional services the new facility will provide, along with the impact the Head Start program provides to families and students in the community.
“It was important seeing firsthand the project in order to better equip me to advocate for more federal funding,” Comer said. “This is something that will benefit a large percentage of the population. We must place a greater focus at an early age on educating our next generation.”
